Fuorisalone PIMAR | Milano Design Week 2018

FuoriSalone: Pimar at Galleria Antonia Jannone
Galleria Antonia Jannone

Corso Garibaldi 125, 17 April - 3 June

To enhance its presence at, Milano Design Week, Pimar will not only be exhibiting at the trade fair, but will also be partnering the One Two Five exhibition project in collaboration with Steven Holl, due to be staged at the Galleria Antonia Jannone in Milan, at no. 125 Corso Garibaldi from 17 April to 3 June 2018. The event is part of a FuoriSalone circuit of appointments, a context in which Pimar interprets a decorative project of great aesthetic value.

Pimar natural stone takes centre stage in a new expression of creativity: alongside architectural and building solutions, a self-supporting sculptural system is born in collaboration with architect and designer Steven Holl, designed to stylishly furnish breakthrough interiors and external spaces.

The apparently simple name of the One Two Five project says it all with regard to its intrinsic value:“one” indicates the unique and inimitable idea behind the project, “two” the ways in which the
sculpture may be presented, either assembled in all of its parts or broken down and “five” thenumber of pieces it consists of and with which it may be built. Each individual block has actually been produced with five joints sculpted in stone, so that they slot perfectly into each other.

One two five, produced in Pimar natural beige stone, will be exhibited at the Galleria Antonia Jannone in three different configurations: the first sculpture will be showcased within the exhibition space in its assembled version, while two partially assembled works will animate the outdoor areas of the gallery.

Pimar’s sculpture is one of the items showcased in the eponymous One two five exhibition dedicated to Steven Holl, curated by Marco Sammicheli and Giulia Pellegrino as project manager. The Gallery will host a selection of works by this acclaimed architect of international fame, comprising 26 watercolours, 13 signed and numbered prints, limited edition design objects and sculptures.

At the Salone del Mobile, in Hall 10 stand E06, Pimar is also presenting the new “Ex of
In House”project centred on a domestic living interpretation fruit of a collaboration with Steven Holl, as part of the “Case e Casette” collection.
