Banca d'Italia

Banca d'Italia

The building, a branch of the Banca d’Italia in Lecce, was built in 1900 by Giovanni Travaglio in a neo-renaissance “Florentine” style and is located in the historic centre. The recovery operation performed by Pimar involved the total restoration of the architectural elements that went lost during the years, and made with materials and techniques of over a century ago. During the restoration, all the interior facades were realised using mixed stone masonry, duplicating columns, capitals, coverings, and arches on a drawing of the original parts.
