PIMAR at Salone del Mobile 2018 | Milano 17-22 April

HALL 10 - BOOTH E06

At Milan’s Salone del MobilePimar is putting the accent on its experience of projects for the world of design. Pimar natural stone comes to life in a series of collections conceived as functional or decorative furnishing accessories, for indoor and outdoor applications, designed to embellish domestic interiors or hospitality structures with style and elegance.

The exposition space designed to host the collections recalls the atmosphere of the quarries from which Pimar natural stone is extracted, to underline yet again the company’s strong bond with itsland of origin and with the great Lecce stoneworking tradition. The onlooker is immediately captivated by an installation that has been studied down to the finest detail, in which the natural texture of stone is enhanced in its full application potential.

During the Salone del Mobile, visitors will discover the values characterizing Pimar’s production
which targets the world of design, and not only, with unique projects and precious finishes.

Based on a concept by Roberto Marcatti and Cintya Concari, Pimar presents the new "Case e Casette" collection of table-top objects stemming from the firm’s collaboration with some iconic
protagonists of architecture and design, such as Riccardo Dalisi, Ugo La Pietra, Luca Scacchetti, Alvaro Siza and Steven Holl. The new collection sets out to interpret the objects and home furnishing accessories of everyday life, such as small-scale works of art of a playful nature, games in stone with which to experiment the versatility of this natural material.

The focus on sculptural creativity assumes a tangible form in "Sonus", the first passive amplifier in Pimar natural stone, designed by Marco Boscarino. A functional object for using as a furnishing accessory.

Also being showcased in the "asyoulike" table collection by architect Toti Semerano, which effectively expresses the concept of free and creative interpretation, and the series of sectional modules making up the "Messàpo" collection by designers Luca Paolo Vasa and Francesco Di Luzio. Both projects enable the user to act as the architect of his own home, with the possibility to attribute new and unprecedented functions to the product.

To complete the exposition space, there is also a collection of vases in Pimar natural stone designed by architect Toti Semerano, to underscore the flexibility of stone and its many possible interpretations.
